The process for the KTM Duke 390 2024 Test Ride is simple:
1️⃣ Schedule an appointment by calling 2821 74730.
2️⃣ Pick up the motorcycle at the agreed day and time in front of GAS (Kissamou 98, Chania) and enjoy your ride, with a maximum duration of 20 minutes.
3️⃣ Return it to GAS.

ΚΤΜ Duke 390 2024: First Impressions

The wheel keeps turning, and in fact, the KTM 790 Adventure’s wheel spun delightfully for four to five weeks on the roads of Chania, available for dozens of riders to test while also serving GAS’s daily transportation needs.
They practically had to pry it from us, and to keep us from sulking, they handed us a freshly prepared KTM Duke 390 for 2024. In my favorite color too, where the dark blue “suit” creates an extra elegant combination with the orange frame, preparing the rider for the top-notch quality of construction, assembly, and design in every inch of this motorcycle!
Having only covered eighty kilometers with it so far, from Rethymno to Chania, and running a couple of errands for GAS within the city, and considering that the only similar bike I’ve ridden in recent years is a Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 for just 4-5 kilometers within the city, I am shocked!
This mid-sized Duke, though in its “post-teenage” years (meaning its manners are refined, as its title suggests), has a well-toned, athletic, healthy frame, and an elegant look. However, if you push it a bit past 5,000 rpm, it transforms into a teenager, surprising you with its capabilities and "rebellious" maturity.
The first thought that came to mind after those initial kilometers was, "Why do I have a 750cc motorcycle and want 1,000+, when with just 390cc, perfectly tuned by KTM, I can have the same fun!" The answer is that I need 750+ for long trips with a passenger and full luggage. But if that’s not in your plans, I honestly can’t find an answer, at least for now.
The 2024 KTM DUKE 390 is a fantastic mid- to small-sized motorcycle with an excellent riding position, unmatched ergonomics and build quality, incredible brakes, frame, and engine performance. It’s a perfect city bike for one or two people, a razor on twisty roads, and more than powerful enough for outings within Crete and beyond, but only for solo rides with light luggage.
